For a good bass response, the DC decoupling 60nF cap in your feedback network must be much bigger 1/(2*pi*470Ohm*20Hz)=16.9uF so lets say 22uF.

@hurz Yeah I know, but the problem is that the output then starts clipping

It does clipping anyway e.g. @10kHz! No way around to reduce input voltage or reduce gain.

As i already said. Cap to 22uF and input voltage lower. Or if input voltage is a must, then reduce gain, but then recalculate the feedback network cap.

10uF and 2.7kOhm (instead of 470Ohm) will do the job for 1V input http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5527956888223744

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but it looks like all three terminals on the POT are connected together, making the POT non-functional?

@bchammer Dumb or stupid questions don't exist. Look closely at how the pot is connected, yes two of the terminals are directly connected. The other one isn't though, hint: look at the transistor.
