Why do I have to adjust voltage upwards before this Constant Current Source will turn on?? Is this a bug in the software?
EDIT: adding a 100Mohm did the job, and project saved as such afterwards:)

I don't know for sure, but I think it may be the 2 middle transistors. The NPN and PNP transistors form a thyristor. And it will not start conducting until it is turned ON.
