Led circuit with pot

3v 20ma UV LED purple. Using these to light my computer and desk area in a unique fashion. Actual value I'm using is about 75 led.

On a pot there generally is 3 pins. like a railway track, 1 pin is point A. 3rd pin point B. The remaining middle pin is simply where on that track you are, the more of the track you go the further it is the more resistance there is, this pin is the wiper which you control externally.
