Unfortunately it doesn't actually work!  If you have any idea why, please leave a comment.

Its the guts of a 555 timer chip.  Why is it called a 555?  check out those resistors!

Modify it like this and it will work (to start close the switch start the Simulation and open the switch) http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5094292863844352
