Can anyone explain this or is this the magical answer to sustainable energy ;) run the sim just tap the momentary switch and watch the output reading, how would a 12v source thst wouldnt pull bit but MAYBE 1 amp turn into 80kv at 25 amps? I know the 555 ics capacotor valies are lower and that temds tk raise yhe voltage, nut this seems, at least to me to be and impossibility. Or maybe its broken. Any insight could would be appreciated.

Sim model has issues, overly simple so it can run on a cell phone.

Try adding a not gate to the 555 output and set 10v logic

Because energy can't be created or destroyed...

I knew that energy cant be created or destroyed, only harvested, boosted, attenuated, and transferred, I'm sure there sre other things but thats the extent of my own personal knowledge. Just was't sure if there was a issue with the simulator, or if there was something else at play which I didn't know about, which is why I was curious due to at least fsce value thats what was happening. 12 volts 10 amps can be turned to 24 volts at 5 amps, 48 V 2.5A, and so on, somi was really baffled by the way the current flow was also rising along with the voltage to the output levels of some lightning strikes I w I ul

Thank you flowDAQ for the suggestion, that outcome was even more powerful which was interesting. If I do use this type of circuit to generate at 24 V output approximately im jist curious to know would I still be able to rely on the ability of say converting 12V 4A to 24V 2A or am I likely to just toast the 555, or is the voltage just generated to that level but the needed amperage would pass through the diode to the output, or is that just wishful thinking. I imagine the 555 I have is at max capable of 800mA, just was really try I

EDIT***** I was really trying to see of the 555 was actually going to pull all that current through it or not, and I'm not terribly well educated in the slightest on using transistors, which is actualky the reason I purchased the app to begin with.
