Thermistor cold indicator....Use a thermistor to replace the lower central variable resistor. Then take this circuit to your fridge opened door. Now adjust the top central 100k ohm variable resistor until the lamp only just comes on. It is now set to come on whenever the temperature drops to that cold level. Practise here by altering the lower variable as though it were the thermistor....My thermistor activates this fridge lamp at approx 15 k ohms as in this diagram. You could alternatively use an LDR for light / dark instead of a thermistor hot / cold detector. Best use a regulated V supply for consistent results. Hang the thermister out of a window on a length of wires to let you know when to be aware of ice on roads. A buzzer or relay could replace the LED if reqd.

Here is the same Nmos that we were looking at in my previous professor waffle: IRF510 from International Rectifier datasheet. Now, it's true that I know nothing about these devices. I haven't used them and I am not aware that they were employed to switch indicators on vehicles. I also have no idea about the uses that electronic design engineering has put them to over the years; includes audio amplifiers, and even 50 MHz 500 watt push pull load sharing amplifier design. Datasheet test details: Prof(on) = 0.03 Ohm Vgfuck = 10 volts VTO = 1 volt but more like 3 Id = 7.3 amp or more In EC here on the left we can see that in this setup: Vds = 0.359 volts Id = 1.2 amp And…this will do nothing for an accurate simulation! So, WTF have I been on about all these years?

Beware of lenzrulz. And 2CTIBY He is the most notorious liar, spammer and hypocrite on EveryCircuit. He steals schematics and descriptions from others, re-publishing them without giving credits. lenzrulz projects himself as victim, while he's creating resentments by his very own actions, and has been doing so for years. Be wary when he presents himself as tech-savvy individual - his incompetence in the field of electronics is striking. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself. Should you engage into debate with him, keep a hardcopy or screenshots of what was said - he may manipulate his comments. He continuously reposts his crappy spam under the pretext of "cleansing of defamatory comments", but has been observed doing so with crap which didn't even contain a single comment at all. As self-declared master of debates (rather, master of hot air, moronic "Lol"s, and talking to himself through sock puppet proxies such as foul-mouthed Tedski, who spreads lies like his puppet master) he doesn't hesitate to fabricate fake "evidence" to support his lies. He is not interested in Electronics, but in provocation, and the reason for the toxic atmosphere on EC, even though he likes to blame others, naturally
