Every shake does interesting things to the orange. Who can explain this one?

Checking your joule thief on the left, the transformer is much to big. 10H primary with transformation ratio 1:4 will have 160H at secondary! Lower it to 5mH e. g. and change its ratio to 1:1 while going down in simulation speed. Keep your circuits realistic!

Total accident. Thank you

Even with the transformers fixed I show over -1kv though.

if you also change the simulation speed down to 20ms/s to avoid subsampling, do you still see 1kV, and were?

anyway, what is the right part for, doesn't make a lot sense without description

Sorry about that. The -5 kv appears on the top side of the transformer to the right just before the resistor. I'll try changing simulation speed now.

So it looks like it just gets there slower at that speed.

damn simulator it just makes it so slow. 10Hz joule thief in your setup for sim speed. Do you think this is correct?

Definitely not. I'm pretty sure that's really slow for any joule thief. Yeah this circuit seems to be hard on the simulator.

so what is the correct frequency and how do you get that correct? I told you already, if you have problems in understanding then just ask.
