Tone tilt control, instead of more usual bass/treble boost/cut control

My guess is it would just be a shelf or cut type filter with a normal adjustable roll-off point, without any active components involved. There would only be varying attenuation and using a 1Meg pot between two 100k resistors would most likely kill your signal outright on one side of the pot's taper. And using smaller resistance values would only diminish how noticeable the adjustments are, almost to the point of inconspicuity.

Someone named Polyno has posted a "Volume and Tone Control" like in a guitar. Thats all passive and pretty cool.
