Just wanted to show an optimal solution of HEX -> 7-SEG converter.
It uses all 24 gates of 6 ICs.
• 2x 7486 (quad XOR)
• 1x 7408 (quad AND)
• 2x 7402 (quad NOR)
• 1x 7432 (quad OR)
There are solutions using only 23 gates but more ICs.
Note: The circuit outputs LOW when the LED should be on since my 7 segment display has a common VCC. That's why there are NOT gates on the right border of the circuit
