Ha!  Figured it out.. you need to add noise by shaking the phone to get it going!  :D This is a circuit from "Make: Analog Synthesizers"  by Ray Wilson,  combined with a triangle to sine converter I look up on Google images.  It says "Redraw by Scott Stites".

Hey, those are some good looking waveforms dude! You suppose you could breadboard this and actually produce such clean shapes like this?
