I like @sonic15 concept of using relays for headlight switching which prompted me to offer this additional idea. It should be noted that this isn’t an accurate depiction of the actual circuitry, components or component values, this is merely for illustrative purposes.
* Press the push button to activate the high beams.
**The blue LED illuminates when the high beams are operating**
