This circuit is used to elevate voltage, for example if you have a 5v input you could have 10v output.

The 1k gate resistor is detrimental to the MOSFET. Choose a gate resistance between 1-10ohms

10mm gate width? 😅 Isn't it a bit high? BTW, cool concept but with no active regulation of the duty cycle the output highly depends on the load applied. You could get a nasty shock out of this, with no load
