I often find myself working with some switching circuit and wanting to measure the average current the circuit draws, but EC tends to get bitchy with bigger circuits, so I designed a simple non invasive solution for EC circuits. A simple current sense amplifier and integrator network seems to do the job well enough.
I measured 610mA through my standard method, which involves heavy capacitance after the 1mOhm resistor to filter the current variations and 608mA with the integrator approach, which is close enough for any high power circuit.
