Two- lamps Inductance Method:
If two lamps and inductance coil are connected in wye and the combination connected to the terminals a, b, and c:
ABCABC sequence is indicated if lamp a is brighter than lamp b
And 
ACBACB sequence is indicated if lamp b is brighter than lamp a
For satisfactory results, the ohmic value of Xi should be comparable in magnitude to the resistance of one lamp, and similar lamps should be used.
