An alternate configuration of a load register using 2x1 MUXES to control the loading of the register, but with Q feeding into the "1" control side of the next MUX in the sequence, and the last Q will then give out the value of the parallel inputs in serial.
LED's at the top show the Q values at their present state, the LED on the bottom shows the serial output of the register.
Bottom-Left most logic input is LOAD, to its right is CLK, the 4 logic inputs going into the 1st AND in the MUXES are the parallel inputs, D0 D1 D2 and D3, and the top most logic input is "serial in".
