Substitute for 3 way Switch

The problem is you enter basement or large warehouse standing where the Ohmmeter is located and need to turn on wall toggle switch almost over head above basement floor or on upper landing (floor is shown as short horizontal line). Not shown is long straight staircase from this landing off to the left. The lights to the left are ceiling lights and right side is side view drawing. If we use 3-way switch at bottom of staircase we have to walk through long area in dark to reach switch and if we bring to where the Ohmmeter is directly we have wire and box hanging in space. Notice the Amperemeter which is simply a pivoting stick mounted on wall to use as toggle with two thin cords hanging down through small holes in above floor or floors(add pulls to operate from that floor) to reach lower level. Next, drill vertical hole through toggle switch lever and take right side of cord through toggle switch lever hole and have knot tied on each side of flip lever. Pivot stick has arm above flip switch able to pull straight up when finished. Add glow in the dark or luminous pendants on end of cords to make locating them easy in dark, then, pull one cord for on and other cord for off. Barns, flammable areas, or large shop open areas might use vertical cord loop or a mounted horizontal cord loop if that would best meet needs with less wiring and expense.
