In 1905, a clerk made this electric trap to kill rats in a warehouse.
Two large squares at bottom is copper plates placed near but not touching each other. One side of each copper plate is connected one wire going to and wire going from incandescent lamp.
Cheese is placed on one copper plate. Rats going after cheese completed the circuit and were instantly killed.
