Effect of RC on LC oscillation

This circuit is desighned to examin the efeect of RC circuit over LC oscillatory circuut. After charging of LC capacitor:: 1)press the SPDTswtitch and remain open the SPST switch. See the time for which the sinusoid is produced. 2)ose the SPST Switch and again after charging of LC capacitor press the SPDT switch and this time let SPST switch closed so RC also comes into act. This time again note the time of sinusoid produced. You will find that time noted for 2nd time is much more than time noted on first time. This shows that just by including an RC circuit the oscillation remain for largrr time i.e time constant increases by large value. So oscillations are nore sustained. This is the charging effect of capacitor which acts as a feedback here and give stored energy in every negative cycle.
