Two parallel LEDs with current-limiting transistor

Use an NPN transistor to regulate sufficient current through two LEDs in parallel... If, say, a microcontroller (which usually could only sink/source about 20mA of current from the GPIO pins) were to govern the Base of an NPN BJT, through a 10k resistor, then that BJT would represent a 75-ohm equivalence and limit the current to 40mA, or about 20mA through each LED, if they are properly matched.
