In reality would your circuit suffer from a big problem: the 10k resistor dissipates about 5 watts peak power. Compare that to about 120 mW of all three LEDs, and you'd find that, apart from needing a special power resistor, also 97 to 98 percent of used energy will be converted to heat by that resistor.
