This amp is somewhat very...... poor but is ok. Do not take it to yourself and i know u make new Better :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) some advice. Use pnp devices for common base amps cuz use npn for common base is like using pnp in common emitter all is upside down. U see how clear it will be and easy to understand. Common base are in fact an easy amps whose frequently even not need bias to implement them. Current gain can be raised in this config also by decoupling power source from input of signal. Think about it as two terminal device like diode . when used with pnp because with npn it will be looks like u want to feed signal against opposite flow of charges and this isn't very intuitive thus that's ppl do not like them. Base terminal cqn always be grounded to not distract u attention and completely forget if pay attention not to overload emitter. Alpha or Current gain i this topology can be raised almost equally to hfe factor so it isn't problem

Man I tell ya- transistors are just like women. They come in all shapes and sizes, some are strong and others just like to be told what to do, and they all have that one certain thing they're good at. But above all else, even though most of'em get mad at me cuz I pay too much attention to their emitter, I'll always play with the ones I can get my hands on... ;^D

Especially annoying when due to high mobility hole charge carriers are too fast to place 3 cents into or crying something about headache and maybe tomorrow.
