But with a solar panel input and a battery load. It is a little disturbing how nice this looks at least initially. 

I don't have time to dig into it now but thought I would post it in case some one has time, a solar panel, and an itch. 

One thing to keep in mind is that it is going to over charge the battery, so something has to be done to deal with that, perhaps a diversion load?

overcharge the battery. it'll take it. if it can't take it then it is weak and deserved to die anyway
