The lamp turns on when one input is negative and the other is positive. If both inputs are negative or positive the lamp will turn off.

@geniahassett, to make it more compact, try to use two logic source components as the XOR gate inputs. Also, since logic gates produce 5 V output by default, set the lamp voltage parameter to 5 V. Then it will light up.

Also, the default logic levels are 0 V (not negative voltage) and 5 V.
