Hi guys ... this is a very simple power bank that you can make with old phone or tablet batteries .. all what you gonna need is a 5 volt regulator , some old batteries and some capacitors that you can find in old circuit boards. in this circuit because there is no 5v regulator im using a normal transistor in place of it .( It don't work with a normal transistor .it's just a dimenstration . ) So if you wanna make a very powerful power bank or a phone charger in emergency cases, please visit my new youtube channel 'INFINITY STATION' or just 'www.youtube.com/tirahoussem' . And there you can find my video "Make your own power bank at home (allmost free $$$)" or you just copy and past this link directly https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=JX9YQoW9O2w There is a link in the discription of the video, click to download the schematics http://adf.ly/1D6nOI and Don't forget to subscribe and share it if you desire and i will show you my skills in how to make things in a simple ways . If you have a question or a negative comment , you are more then welcome :) Thank you for supporting me

Build the voltage regulator (resistor from collector to base, zener diode reverse biased base to ground)

The circuit it's not important for me ... i make it for just to not leave board empty :3

But it should be a reference, because its your business card

Yes it should be... but i know what i did ... there are a links to the original electrical schematics ..

discharging these batteries is easy; charging them is not. I want to see how you're managing charging these; how do you regulate the C rate asymptote and thermal cutout with piles of batteries without knowing the specs or health of them

Faceblast .. i made a special charger that can charge each battery separated from the other , so i make a littel update to the power bank in the connection of the two batteries . I wish that u understand me :)

Can we charge this power bank with normal mobile charger or we need 9 volt dc charger

#karman48, if you have an other application of the circuit.. Yes you can change with a charger or battery up to 20 volt , you need a bigger heat sink for the regulator and maybe a little fan if needed. But in this demonstration i made a battery power bank, so it saves you when your phone's battery dead. Thank you for ur comment and sorry about the big delay.

#sunnysharan, unfortunately , it works great , the prove is that i made a video and i posted it on youtube.
