No reason for @jimmygibbsjunior to not build a flip flop in relays. Relays were over decades the only electric logic component. The hole telefon system was made with relays and the biggest machine mankind made.

In german this circuit called "Vier-Takt-Schaltung" and you would be surprised in how many different forms they are around you and you are using them in your daily live! Look at your ballpen and think about how it works. You can learn a lot if you keep your eyes open. Sad clown
