Amateur radio 13.7v supply 4 ohm speaker audio output stage. Just under 1.5 watt rms output. Circuit not performing well since output voltage swing before clipping is less than 7 volts peak to peak.
I think some of the problem may be that the driver transistor needs to be a medium power device, not a small signal bjt. The output bjts should be power transistors but they have 100% negative feedback so any distortion is cleaned up. (I have set a lower value of hfe to represent power transistors).
Any suggestions are more than welcome!!!
