Used mainly in RF circuits, due to no miller effect on base collector capacitance. In a CE amplifier the Collector Base capacitance is effectively multiplied by the voltage gain of the circuit, this considerably limits the maximum frequency that can be amplified. This circuit gets round that problem by grounding the base therefore collector base capacitance is not magnified and the bandwidth is considerably extended. Has Low input impedance and high output impedance.
