How is it not "ideal"? It doesn't have to be only one AC source at mains voltage to be an example of a two way switch. Get a bulb and two AA batteries and try it yourself. This will work just fine.

if you use 2different voltage sources, Problems may occure. ( imagine a LiPo battery exploding :b ) just change one voltage source to 2V and see what will hapen.

No one said anything about the voltage sources being different, or if different types. In the schematic shown here, they're the same. Plus, no one every said the sources are batteries, either. You're way over-thinking this simple example. Yes, if the two sources are different values and/or different types, you're going to have issues. However, that is not what is shown. As it is now, it's just fine.

None of the less it's still a nice way of showing two power sources, can you make so that it has redundant power if one fails the other one starts
