This LIN has two inputs. One automatic, intermittent one. And one that can be activated manually.
The two diodes prevent the current from flowing backward when the inputs are off. I guess this precaution is unnecessary for the manually controlled one.
The fire rate of the neuron is proportional to the voltage accumulated.
