This circuit is useless. Just because you call it US Mains AC does not mean it is more than an AC source connected to a lamp.

@LeBitch This circuit was made for the understanding of those who are new to electronic, not for people like you to be ignorant and rude. If you want to put it that way, then anything plugged into any city power line is just a device connected to an AC source. So really, why are you here? To annoy people, to waste their time? Why do you always have to be so ignorant? What ever it is, I recommend to stop.

I'm not sure what you understand about the EC community but theres alot of circuits with the US/Canadian Main Voltage with wrong configurations.
