Non-working am radio

Why isn't this oscillating? I built this circuit and it rings. It doesn't modulate though. My signal amp stage isn't properly biased, but I can get that working on my own. Does someone recognize a fundamental flaw with this circuit?

I should have said transmitter, but i don't how to edit the darn title.

At first transistor output a sine wave input stays sine wave to speaker yet does not oscillate on direct current. Left does not do sine wave out left transistor or increase or decrease power to modulate signal strength. Might get ideas by searching AM transmitter examples.
