It will work without the inductor coil as normal circuit so coil is simply connecting wire.

Even tho it says 0v and -2v you still have 20mA going threw the led

It works because you put 2 volts to the led, and that is what is supposed to get.

Untrue. At 9kh the led fades to black.... Otherwise I see what you mean
