Some calculation went wrong. The right circuit overall resistance is higher than the one on the left side. 37mA to 35.7mA!

No calc went wrong... The T circuit has a 4k7 resistor, which has to be the same value as the π one, 4k2, the conversion is between three resistors and not anymore. ;) gj

So this is a somehow random transformation from π to t ? Its not the traget to get an equivalent t circuit for a π? And why in 4.7k "the same value" like 4.2k? Probably you should write some math down for us to understand.

@stariol now i see what you mean, the 4k7 in his right circuit is just wrong (suppose to be 4k2 like in the left circuit, i m just blind ;-). Now the transformation makes sense to me. Thanx for clarification.
