Overload protection circuit

https://youtu.be/_yog-EWcJNw To activate the overload, close the switch of the second lamp. The circuit automatically switch off the loads when the current is over the threshold set with the pot. After about 10s, it will try to activate it again: if the circuit is still in overload, it will switch off the loads again and restart the cycle.

The extra RS latch is actually not needed. 555 output is already a RS latch.
mantech

You're right, at the beginning I wanted to put a button to reset the circuit that's why I put SR latch. Then I forgot to exclude it when I placed instead the 555

You are wellcome. BTW, how is the YT link related to this circuit?
mantech
In no way. I'm just trying to get some views from people who love electronics. Anyway disliking the video because of this, is a bad thing.
hurz

I dont like robots
mantech

Liking/disliking a video is about how the video is made, not about what you are interested in.
hurz
Are you sure? You know how YT inform's me about videos which rated as."like"?
mantech
Yep, it says "liked videos". It doesn't say "topics you are interested in". So yes, I am sure.
hurz
And I dont like its content! Its made fine, but this is definitive not what comes first in priority. For me content counts. And i hope you also watch at content and second order for its beauty
mantech
Of course contents count, but if all the people were like you, ANY video would have more dislikes than likes. It's impossible to find a content every person likes.
hurz
What is "content every person likes", sex or robots or sex with robots?
mantech

WTF are you talking about...
hurz
You are the kind of facebook generation which can only handle "likes". But if my best friend posts a stupid video on FB or YT, he will get a "dislike". On FB not directly possible, but the algorithms on FB do find out what I like/dislike anyway, by long term correlation what I have not "liked". So you take the dislike to personal, but actually its not for you, its just what I think about the video. And finally watch this https://youtu.be/Om4c4ilT_6g
mantech
How can you tell the kind of person I am by a couple of comments? Anyway if you notice, you said "a stupid video" so your example is perfect for the idea of "disliking" I was talking about and not yours. And you are making this thing bigger than it actually is: I just told you it's bad disliking a video with 13 VIEWS of a 2 SUBSCRIBERS new channel. Channels like this need support more than dislikes, as long as they don't post shit.
mantech
I watched the video you linked and I think that: 1) He disliked the video and searched for that query with the same account. What happens with other accounts? 2) Assuming that thing happens in general, it is just proofing that 1 dislike is better than 0 likes and dislikes. I'm sure that having more likes is better than having more dislikes.
hurz
You are sure, but its just your guess.
mantech
After such long comments, I expected a better reply from you ;)
hurz
You spend this effort just to make me like your video?
mantech
I'm not trying to make you like my video at all. You started all this, but now it seems like you don't know how to reply to me anymore. Maybe you just realised to be wrong?
mantech
I mean usually people reply to the whole text, not just the last phrase
hurz
I saud "finally" because I noticed we are turning in circles. But even I gave you some proofs (video) taht you are wrong, you still on the "I guess" track. This started, because you feel attacked by my dislike. I still belife its what I said, because it wont make sense even for YT. But you do not listen to any argument I have. So I still dont like the video content, and to avoid to get YT notification about "robots video's" I will keep my dislike strategie. YT also like this, because they earn money with propaganda and if the videos they offer me are boring from content to me, I will leave the.platform early. So if YT is interessted to keep me as long as possible on thiere plattform to show me as much as possible add's. A dislike to you, as you think its is personal, wont help anybody. But a dislike to select video better which I "like" makes sense to me. So repeat this and I dont see you understand this, because you are blinded by your picture "he hates me" and this feeling stops you to think logicly. Contunue this discussion on a logic level and try to convince me you are right. I gave you enough food to think about. You gave me nothing!
hurz
BTW, you rated your own video as "like" how stupid is this?!
mantech
I will try to reply to all the things you said, because, you know, that's how it should be. First of all, calling that video a proof is an hazard, anyway I ALREADY TOLD YOU what I think is wrong about that video, and my objections were all logic (read it again if you don't remember), so I don't get what you mean with the "I guess track". I felt attacked? What's the base of all these suppositions? I'm trying to start a YouTube channel and it's not easy, I just told you it was bad disliking a video from a channel that just need support. And don't try to say that by disliking it you advantage me somehow (THE VIDEO DIDN'T PROOF THAT DISLIKES ARE BETTER THAN LIKES!!!!!) in any case helping me wasn't in your plan. By the way, I don't give a damn if you don't like robots, I don't give a damn about your strategy, you are not considering the publisher side! That's selfish. And you are conceited as well by saying "I don't see you understand this" like what you say is all right when ALL YOU GAVE ME WAS THAT STUPID VIDEO I put in discussion with a little logic that you seem not having. I always replied to all the things you said, your's were just about part of my text. It was you giving me nothing! I will not try to convince you that I am right, I don't want your likes.
mantech
Reply to the other comment: Yes I did. You probably don't get how people see thumbs on YouTube, and you don't get in general how people see others opinion. People is always affected by what others think about something, same thing for the videos and not many people will check who liked it. So liking it was just a very little step in this direction, but you can keep thinking this is stupid.

In big letters for your "WE HAVE NO IDEA HOW THE YOUTUBE RATING ALGORITHM WORKS AND IMPLEMENTED IS!" All you and I do is speculation. Youtube is not OpenSource! I just proofed or better tested (cuz a real proof does not exist for anything) that one little statement you gave is WRONG. Learn a little about logic and read something about "the black swan" and please stop given only statements/guesses. From time to time you have to test your statements, and if you find they are not completely right you have to cancel or rework them. But the only thing I see you are trying to build a religion with your Statements but you do not test them. Try to understand this basic sientific concept before we continue in futher wierd statemate salad.
mantech
You still don't get what I am saying. I'm talking about people, you are talking about algorithms, about scientific concept, about testing statements. Do you even read what I am writing? Please READ my last comment, you will find what I think and you will magically discover that I gave no statements about how YouTube works!!!
hurz
Your first statement which you repeat again and again like a pope, but repeating statements is not a test, its just religion: "Liking/disliking a video is about how the video is made, not about what you are interested in."
mantech
So I was right, you don't read what I write because I repeated that phrase just once and was just one of the reason why in my opinion you shouldn't have disliked my video (I'm tired of repeating them). The funny fact is that we spended this whole time discussing something else. Anyway yes, that's my idea, but what this has to do with YouTube algorithms?
hurz
Here the repitation of your first statement: "Yep, it says "liked videos". It doesn't say "topics you are interested in". So yes, I am sure."
hurz
And your "ideas" counts a shit for youtube developer
mantech
That's just the answer to your unexplainable question, because unlike you, I do answer. Once again you haven't.
mantech
Who said they should count? I told my idea, all you did was asking questions that turned against you, making examples that turned against you, talking about sex with robots and linking stupid videos.
maxmax_66

@mantech. Are you suggesting we give up our power of opinion with respect to YT bullshit just to be nice? So everyone gets a medal for just showing up, right?
mantech
No if you read what I wrote, I'm suggesting to support (even by not giving dislikes) new channels as long as they don't post shit. That's a lot different.
hurz
Looks to me, you never learned to formulate a question. If you use the questionmark, its in almost all case a retoric question which does not need an answere from my side OR questions which is actually for yourself and not for me OR its just a statemente again.
mantech
So in your opinion a "real" question doesn't need question mark?
mantech
Ops sorry I just did it again. Hope you will understand my last comment needs an answer ;)

You didn't answer. By the way, please learn how tu use a question mark, you seem like a very desperated case. This might help https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/punctuation/question-mark

The beholder decides what is shit or not, new channel or not. And how is that decision implemented?
mantech
You can have preferences, but you can recognize a well made video from a shitty video. Anyway, I just want to know your opinion: what would be the reason to dislike a video? I don't mean your criteria, I mean the result you want to achieve when you dislike a video
maxmax_66
You seem to suggest ulterior motives where none exist. I'm given the choice to 'like' or 'dislike' a video I either like or dislike. How does a channel's 'newness' become a determining factor in that choice?
mantech
So you are actually doing something for no reason? I'll give you an example: I don't know if you like sports, but if you do, do you judge in the same way a player at his first match compared to an experienced player? You are suddenly there to say he's not good? If you don't like the sports example, just think about anything/anyone with no experience and tell me if it's not a determining factor when you have to judge it/him.
maxmax_66
False analogies aside, why should a video's newness ever determine my opinion of it? Look, I hate Brussel sprouts while others love them. There's nothing wrong with Brussel sprouts except I don't like them. If Brussel sprouts were only just introduced to the world, I would still hate them. The novelty of the newly introduced Brussel sprout does not change my opinion of them.
mantech
Your analogy instead hasn't anything to do with what I am saying. I didn't say that newness should make you like something! I said that a person with no experience needs support and time before penalizing him. Because that's what disliking does to a channel, while for you it's just a stupid click on a button. You all are just not considering the human side.
maxmax_66

Have you been out in the real world, yet? With that attitude, you're in for some real hurt and disappointment.
mantech
Yes I have, it sucks right because people think like you. "Hurt and disappointment"? This is how I treat people, not how I expect people to treat me. Other things hurt and disappoint in life, surely not these shits.

Everything we do, we do for love. We give love and hope to get love back. This is what keeps us all alive. Maybe you're just too young to understand this.
mantech

I see comments of you everywhere on EC and none of them really feel like love, but much more like arrogance. Anyway I just asked you if you could "give love" somewhere else.

Oh man, I'm so sorry for you. Your life must be so boring and empty to spend you entire time on this application annoying other people. You must have some serious problem. I also saw some of the circuits you did "writing text" using Fourier, and that's the proof you have nothing better to do in your life that using this application, it's so sad! You set all those signal sources in frequency, amplitude and phase, what is your problem!! Seems like the only goal in your life is to demonstrate you are better that anyone in this app. I don't know how old are you but I'm sure you can do something better for your life, and you will also make feel better a lot of people in here without your arrogant comments. I don't want to have anything to do with a person like you, so please leave me alone and go live the real life!

Right, might be new to you, but there are Computers you can quickly program, if you know how to, and take over the results into a circuit. That easy. Wasn't it you who deleted its embarrasing arrogant foulmouth thread, after spending hours of your life while not listening to what I tried to bring you closer?

You are sick enough to continually check if my circuit was there and realize it was not. You disgust me. Here you go http://everycircuit.com/circuit/5434054017286144 are you happy now? Will you leave me alone and start living your fucking life?
