This aint a trigger of schmitt. Schmitts trigger does not switch polarity.its either 1 or 0 not 1 0 -1.but anyway nice ;)

Lol i renamed it by mistake while changing circuit from inverting to noninverting. Still this is a Schmitt trigger whether you believe it or not. Take as reference first session of Digital Integrated Circuits. Also research nonlinear astable oscillators use of this type of triggers namely relaxation oscillators. Plus this is a model device designed to replicate squid synapse response as per Schmitt research on the topic..

You can use single rail opamp and make use of voltage dividers to compensate for voltages greater than zero. Of course that doesnt eliminate the fact that Schmitt triggers act in positive and in negative regions of the input signal as well.
