HALF WAVE RECTIFIER WITH CAPICATOR FILTER.
Circuit Components:- 1)Diode
2) Resistor-1k ohm
3) Ac input signal.
4) capacitor-33microfarad
With the extra capicator in parallel with the resistor.
Advantage of capicator is that low ripple voltage.
In half wave rectifier, the diode conducts only during postive half cycle of input ac signal.
The negative half cycle of ac supply are eliminated from the output.
Working:-
During positive half cycle of ac input supply, diode gets forward biased and the current flows in the circuit in clockwise direction.
The output voltage is measured across the resistor.
During the negative half cycle , the diode gets reversed biased , hence it does not conduct. Open circuited .and no current flows across the resistor.
Hence only postive Sinusoidal pulses wave form.
