14v 28 cell solar panel (usually used for car batteries) connected to 10 AA NiMH rechargeable batteries can power 6 12v LED strips. Each strip contains 15 3v white LEDs, 5 strings with 3 LEDs wired in series with a 150 ohm current limiting resistor. A single Schottky diode prevents current back-feed to the panel from the battery at night. Add a switch.. and let there be light.
