This circuit uses a 555 and two counters to generate a digital signal, then uses a DAC to convert this to an analog voltage to light up an LED. The analog signal is a ramp that can be set to be increasing or decreasing, based on the position of a switch in the top-left portion of the circuit. At the bottom right, one can either reset the signal to 0 or load in their own signal from given values.
