The basic idea is there, the voltage levels need a bit of a tweek, the red led needs to be on by @11.8v. A constant voltage bench charger or standby battery is floated at about13.8v. a boost charger including a car charger will normally charge up to14.2v increasing to 15.2v in the desulphating phase.

I agree with BillyT. The 2volt zener is good but the other two need to be tweaked.
