without a transformer center tap connection to ground its a zero power solution

With the chargers connected in series like that, each one only puts out 1/2 its designed output, so the final output is equivalent to 1 charger.

This was at first 6 volt system that was increased to 16 volt.

339/2 => 169.5/10 => 16.95-2*0.7 => 15.55Vpeak with this voltage its impossible to charge a "16V" accumulator, what technology that might be.... BTW, mains voltage is also not stable can be anything between 339Vpeak +-x%

Impression I got was more power for running a train set and leaving battery in the circuit. It did not seem wanted so much as battery charger. Just more power to run the train layout.
