This is straight from self's book "Small Signal Audio Design". Simple, elegant, low distortion. Amp has two stages. First stage to the left is a common emitter  gain stage. Second stage is an emitter follower / buffer. The whole thing is bound together in a nice feedback loop via the horizontal 220k resistor going from output of 2nd stage back into input of first stage. The amp is (obviously) inverting.

So, it's a common-emitter gain stage followed by a common-collector gain stage... What about the third gain stage???
