Way way over complex active electronics PURPOSE: Active guitar electronics with baxandal tone control and instant lead and rhythm switch settings DESCRIPTION From the signal generator source there is a fet voltage follower buffer. This has the function of not loading the pickups and thus will not change the impedance etc The low impedance output of the fet buffer is fed into a baxandal tone control. This offers Bass cut and lift + Treble cut and lift. The effect of this well-tested circuit here is to provide the guitar player with REAL tone control and not just bass cut. The output of the baxandal tone stack is fed via a 100nf cap to another jfet stage. This has switched tone bleed circuits allowing instant bulged sound profile of a high end lead (top boost) to be used. This is very useful if playing rhythm chords but you want to quickly switch over to a lead setting. The out put of this stage is then fed into a self biased NPN transistor stage. A pot is put in place here to allow for trimming the output depending on the amplitude of the pickups used in the guitar. CONCLUSION Yes it is complex but it does a lot! I will build it this week into a guitar. The baxandal tone stack can be built directly by soldering the components onto the pots. This results in a much smaller circuit board. I will post the results up here for people to see. Shame there is no file attachment facility on this thing

I suppose it's not worth commenting on comments that are not commendable
