@selman, CE mean common emitter, but this is more CC common collector. Anyway, quiz were does the gain come from?cuz you are right, there must be some gain even its only a little.

Yeah I see it, it's the way the filter is connected to the amp, the split caps serve as a voltage divider the total voltage being input to the amp, and the output fed to the lower cap, this gives it a theoretical loop gain of 2 thus producing sustained oscillation.

And see how boring Mr Rohan does change its circuits to something different. Anyway, all he published so far is made by the community and he is just makes resuse from it without a cent of knowledge what and how it works and is. Better we dont feed this troll and let him go.

See how he messed up the pure oscillator which suppose to run at about 225MHz according to his configuration. But all the heavy coupling caps around munched it down to about 12MHz what a mess.... http://everycircuit.com/circuit/6035612714139648
