Delete left hand power supply. Connect left hand side of switch to positive side of 9V supply. For good measure connect a high value resistor (say 100kOhm) between transistor base and ground.

But why delete the 5V source? Maybe he is representing a microcontroller output with it?

I say delete the capacitor and use individual series resistors for each LED

Because - when people do not outline precisely what they are trying to do different people have different interpretations of what the end goal is.

The poster only joined a week ago so we don’t know their knowledge level, but they are asking for help/advice.

I concur individual resistors for each LED are required but didn’t want to provide too much information on one go which possibly might be confusing to a new user.
