Input is 120V AC 60Hz. Uses 10 to 1 step down transformer, signal is then fully rectified and smoothed with two 4000uF caps and 50mH inductor and then regulated with zenner diode at approximately 5V DC. Large capacitance also helps prevent voltage drop when loaded

Wall outlet voltage is not the midline-to-peak amplitude. It’s the RMS (root-mean-square) of the voltage signal. EveryCircuit uses midline-peak amplitude for its AC sources. To simulate a wall outlet, this setting should be 170V. This will result in the RMS voltage correctly reflecting 120V AC, rather than the 84.8V AC this circuit uses

EveryCircuit is an easy to use, highly interactive circuit simulator and schematic capture tool.
