Voltage meter is the 3.2v cylinder rechargable battery from the hardware store . The power source is the solar panel, max 5v.  - nforystek

The npn transitor is back to front, and the led should not be powered by the base of this transistor, the 10ohm resistor in the return wire is also a worry.

Think my cahnges are better? I didn't get it to work in real life as shown here but then again there is no solar panel or chargeable battery in every circuit life.
