oh yea HOT's are BEST power bjt ever made. sometimes one such transistor cost few hundred bucks. some advanced models for top TV was only available to buy via authorized serviceman. typical max VCE around 1.7 KV, avalanche hardened, extended SOA range, most precise manufacture process, extremely high transient current pulse, low CEsat drop voltage and highest transconductance. disadvantage is low beta (around 4-7) but compensated by full on-off control voltage range only around 20mV

sweet I'll pull some more out. there are thousands of perfectly good CRT TVs on the street now that analogue TV is gone
