What makes the LEDs light up?

Hmm, let's see- the power source is reading AC 220 Volts @ 50Hz. Doesn't sound like it would be a battery but- I think I'll have to google it. Maybe we could figure it out if the LEDs did actually light up though. Maybe the author could "shed some light" on the situation! X^D

Correction: the •title• says 220V, not the source..

It still wouldn't work at 220VAC, take a closer look at the typology.

Vac is reading 2v pp. After rectification it shows 1v pp. Anyone else see that?

i calculated all the led volts together total 80v 2v per led 4 groups of 10 total 20v per group

No Daniel, voltage comes from a source not the combined component ratings..
