How a follower works?
Very simple!
In each circuit, try to change the load resistors values, you can see that in the "simple" circuit, voltage is given by the resistors (look at the comparator circuit In my workspace) so, if you change the load resistor value, output voltage will change. Now in the circuit with the AOP, voltage don't care about the load resistor! The AOP juste allow to adapt output current, if the load resistor value increases, the AOP will give less current, if it increases, the AOP will give more crurent (U=R×I Muthafaka).
As you can see, our potentiometer could be a sensor with variable resistance, if our analog pin resistance (maybe of an Arduino) change during acquisition of the voltage, the AOP allow to adapt current to keep the good voltage.
