Revised Not positive. Not negative. Not sure. Not done. Right most switch is the assumed resistance before ionization in the vacuum, and after. Center switch for the doubler for convenience. Middle left is the DPDT relay to the mot transformer(s). Left most switch is the main power with indicator light/ emergency stop twist reset, as I plan on building this into a box with guages showing E/I/W on both sides of the transformer. The "DPDT" relay will actually be a allen-bradley contactor with overload from 5-32I. There will also be an auto transformer from mains to "box" comments welcome.

As far as I know, you cant ionize a vacuum. But I guess I understood you wrong.

I wonder how vacumm tubes work then? ....

There is nothing ionized in vacuum tubes. You can only ionize atoms and there are no atoms in vacuum.

There also isnt a complete vacuum in vacuum tubes, or florescent lights.
